Breaking News: Report said Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is seriously ill
The official said Suu Kyi's physician, Tin Myo Win, had called at her home on three occasions on August 17 and 19, and had found her blood pressure to be "dangerously low," Nikkei reported.

Nikkei News quoted “Myanmar's detained democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, 63, is seriously sick in bed, suffering a severe case of low blood pressure, a source close to the country's military government told The Nikkei Wednesday.”

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was scheduled to meet with United Nations envoy Ibrahim Gambari on Wednesday morning, but the meeting had not taken place as of 2:30 p.m. local time (5:00 p.m. JST).Her blood pressure has fallen so low that she cannot get out of bed, the source said.

Dr. Tin Myo Win has treated her low blood pressure since 1995.

However, recently SPDC had refused to allow her physician to meet her for regular medical checkup since January 2008, more than six months of without proper treatment. If her health keeps declining, regime must take a full responsibility for the outcome of her wellbeing.
