Patient dies of lack of proper treatment in Sittwe
Akyab, Arakan State: A patient died in Sittwe (Akyab) without getting prope! r medical treatment at the Government General Hospital in Sittwe, Arakan State on October 3, said a relative of the victim.
The dead man was identified as Ali Hussain (36), son of Sona Ali, hailing from Santoli village in Akyab, Arakan, Burma.
He was suffering from hay fever and jaundice for a week. On September 25, he went to Sittwe general hospital for treatment where he was diagnosed for fever and jaundice. But, he was not allowed admission at the hospital because then the anti-junta demonstration by Buddhist monks had broken out in Sittwe.
As a result, he went for treatment by local doctors, said a neighbor of the victim.
He died on October 3. ###
