Over 2,000 Burma ethnic migrants in Malaysia today staged a demonstration outside the Burmese, Chinese and Russian embassies over the use of veto power by the two giants at the United Nation Security Council (UNSC) on Burma .
Protesters got just about 15 minutes to protest in front of the Burmese embassy and from there they continued to the Chinese and Russian embassies in Malaysia, said a protester Nai Row Mon, vice chairman of Mon Refugee Organization (MRO).
"We requested China and Russia to stop using veto power on Burma and we also appealed to them to stop supporting the military junta" said Nai Row Mon.
"We are against the military junta because of its violent crackdown on peaceful protesters and arrests and killings of monks and innocent people," the demonstrators said.
"We do not want a military government, we want a federal government" they added.
The demonstration was organized by Burma 's ethnic migrants in Malaysia including Mon, Karen, Kachin, Karenni, Arakan, Shan and Burmese.
They claimed that migrants in Malaysia were increasing. Before, there were no women and children migrants in Malaysia . But now there are more migrant women and children.
Activists and rights groups also feel that more and more migrants are going over to neighbouring countries like Malaysia , Thailand and South Korea .
However, the military government controlled media keeps saying almost everyday that Burma has developed a lot.
